Unsweetened Masala Chai

I’ve been drinking the slow brew version for years. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the best commercially available chai. It is, however, a commitment to make. I got the fast version for a season where I will not have time to deal with the slow brew. It’s definitely not quite as good, but it’s so much closer than anything else available and it’s still absolutely delicious. I’m very satisfied, and because it’s fast I know I’ll have time for it every morning.

It is such a great chai blend. The spices are perfect. It is so easy to make.

I’m so glad I found out about Tipu’s chai. It is delicious, gives a moderate boost of caffeine, and makes you feel good. You get all the benefits and antioxidants of the spices in the mix, so it provides much better and more sustaining energy than coffee. If you need it, it’s a great way to break a coffee addiction too! My spouse and I both feel much better and more energetic throughout the day after having substituted our morning coffee with Tipu’s chai.

Tipu’s also makes it infinitely easier to make chai at home. Tipu’s chai is a delicious blend with lots of spices and balanced flavor. It is easy and quick to make, and I can do it all in one mug. I like the flavor best when I add the chai mix to hot water and let it brew for a few minutes just like regular tea, then add in the milk and sugar and warm it again. Sometimes you need to shake or mix the bag up when you first get it because the top can be a little cardamom-heavy from settling. I make my chai with 2% organic milk from Aldi, and the end result tastes absolutely heavenly—completely different from regular milk. I also prefer to purchase the chai mix that comes without sugar so I can adjust the amount of sweetness. It tastes even better with Morena cane sugar.
